Park Minjeong is a Korean artist living and working in Naarm/Melbourne. She works with paper — local newspapers, magazines picked up off the street, old books found in op shops — shaping them into sculptural objects that explore form and texture.
The work starts with what already exists: materials that have been used, set aside, or thrown away. Rather than sourcing new, she collects what is close at hand and finds new form in it. She believes in something particular to the handmade — the kind of quality that only comes from things made by hand. Her practice is rooted in a quiet responsibility toward waste — not as a statement, but as a way of working.
She has shown work in Seoul, Milan, and Melbourne, and continues to work actively across both gallery and design contexts.
